CHARLES, IL - The addition of outlots to the Charlestowne Mall property, which has been renamed The Quad, has been a selling point for developer Krausz Companies as they hope the addition of high-volume businesses outside will draw more businesses into the nearly-vacant mall, the Daily Herald reports.

Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant is moving forward with plans to build its ninth location in an outlot at the mall and Starbucks has also signed on to an outlot, according to the article. Cooper’s Hawk pitched its plans to aldermen on Monday, which would include the hiring of 150 employees.
