Watch Suburban Singer Jeffery Austin's Finale Performances on 'The Voice'

What did you think of Austin's performances Monday night? The Voice champion will be announced tonight.

St. Charles native Jeffery Austin performed in the finale Monday of The Voice. During his solo performance, he sang Stay by Sugarland.

Also during Monday’s show on The Voice, Austin performed Leather and Lace with his celebrity coach, Gwen Stefani.

The four finalists also performed Christmas classics during Monday’s show. Austin chose O Holy Night.

The winner for Season Nine of The Voice will be announced tonight and the champion will receive a recording contract. Polls are open through 12 p.m. Eastern Time today. Here is how you can vote for Austin:

  • You can vote ten times per artist per e-mail address or ten times per artist per valid Facebook account at NBC.com and on the Voice Facebook page.
  • You can vote via The Voice Official app that is available for download via Google Play or in the Apple App Store. You can vote up to 10 times per artist per e-mail address or ten times per artist per valid Facebook account.
  • You can also vote for Austin by purchasing the song he sings Monday on iTunes. Only one download per eligible song will be counted as a vote.

The St. Charles community has been showing its support for Austin, a graduate of Haines Middle School and St. Charles North High School, throughout the show. St. Charles students rallied using the #VoiceSaveJeffery hashtag last week during the semifinals of the popular reality TV show, according to Suburban Life Publications. Austin was close to being eliminated but received enough votes to be declared a finalist in the final seconds of the show.

Austin worked in public relations in New York before he joined The Voice competition and says he plans to pursue a career in the music industry even if he isn’t named the show’s champion, the Chicago Tribune reports.

“Before this show, I was working at a desk in public relations, and now I can’t see myself doing anything other than performing. The confidence it’s given me to go for my dreams is my favorite part of this whole experience,” Austin told the Chicago Tribune.

Tonight’s show begins at 7 p.m. on NBC.
