
There is an array of choices for visitors to the 28th annual Scarecrow Fest, which runs Oct. 11-13.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and saturday, Oct. 11-12, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13.
The festival’s most popular events are back this year including Windy City Amusement Carnival, the Autumn on the Fox Arts & Crafts show in Pottawatomie Park, and Colonial Ice Cream Eating Contest.

Make Your Own Scarecrow also is returning, but this time in two locations to help reduce lines. Make Your Own Scarecrow allows attendees to build their very own scarecrows to take home. The locations will be on 1st Street, and in the Municipal Center parking lot.
Scarecrow Fest will host an array of food vendors who will be scattered throughout the festival grounds, although the many pubs and restaurants in the downtown area also offer savory festival fare.
