What St. Charles Parents Should Know About Adolescent Self-Injury

St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 Parent University program on April 10 to focus on such behaviors as "cutting."

Sometimes the difficulties children experience can take a toll and lead to behaviors in which they injure themselves, such as by “cutting.”

It’s a behavior pattern that can be frightening and overwhelming to parents, the children’s friends and others.

St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 has scheduled a Parent University discussion on the topic of self-injurious behavior at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in the Wredling Middle School cafeteria. Wredling student assistance counselor Mike Cortina and Wredling certified school nurse Juanita Gryfinski will lead the discussion.
