• DOJ investigating Illinois schools on sex, gender in classroom, sports (mcdonoughvoice.com) — Stockton Community Unit School District 206 is among 36 Illinois districts under a new U.S. Department of Justice civil-rights investigation into how schools handle sex education, gender-related instruction, bathrooms, locker rooms, and sports participation. Federal officials say they are examining whether parents are properly informed of opt-out rights, while Sen. Dick Durbin sharply criticizes the probe as politically motivated. No findings have been issued yet.
