• Vendors happy with lively start to Sycamore Farmers Market (shawlocal.com) — Sycamore’s weekly farmers market is now up and running at the DeKalb County History Center, drawing big crowds, live music, and overflowing parking. Every Tuesday through Sept. 1, residents can browse Sycamore-based and regional vendors, grab hot food, and relax on the lawn with blankets while enjoying an evening-out atmosphere just minutes from home. 
• ClearSay AI project aims to aid people with disabilities, vocal irregularities (utulsa.edu) — A University of Tulsa student from Sycamore is leading ClearSay, an AI-powered speech-to-text project helping a classmate with cerebral palsy communicate and complete college work more independently. The student team is turning classroom skills into real-world accessibility tools and hopes to expand ClearSay into apps that support many different speech and mobility needs.
