• Taylorville Police Dept. gets camera to oversee downtown; another on the way (wcia.com) — Taylorville police have installed a new grant-funded surveillance camera watching the downtown business district, with a second camera coming soon to cover the entire area. Chief Dwayne Wheeler says the live-feed, night-vision system follows Illinois privacy laws and only monitors public spaces. Residents with questions are encouraged to contact the department by phone or Facebook message.
