Andrew's Wabi Takes First Place in Youth Tennis Tournament
Austin Wabi captures freshman/sophomore doubles division at the Lincoln-Way Youth Tennis Tournament.

With 50 of the area's top youth tennis players meeting at Lincoln-Way North High School in the 3rd Annual Lincoln-Way Youth Tennis Tournament, the competition was stiff, to say the least.
Roughly 100 matches were played over three days by both junior high school players and high school underclassmen.
Andrew High School’s Austin Wabi placed first in the freshman/sophomore doubles division with partner Patrick Murday (Marian Catholic). The pair won three matches en route to the tournament crown.

Summer Season, Fresh Faces
With only three seniors on its summer baseball team, the Tinley Park Titans knew they might have to endure some growing pains. After finishing 18-13 last year, Tinley Park graduated 11 seniors, leaving Coach Brian Gibbons with a very young team.
In order to battle some of that inexperience, the Titans played 18 summer league games, going 6-12 before bowing out to Lincoln-Way East in the IHSBCA Phil Lawler Summer Classic. The Titans were led by seniors Ryan Bunn and Pat Cosgrave.

T-Bolts Soccer
While coaches shuffle lineups and student-athletes take time off for vacation, one can never put too much stock into a summer league record.
Andrew soccer coach Pat MacDonald is doing just that. He doesn't seem concerned about the T-Bolts' 0-7-1 record in summer play.
“We have done some nice things out there. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the development of some of the guys,” MacDonald said.
