Athlete of the Week: Keeping Track of Klee Is No Mean Feat

Titans junior Megan Klee is a multi-talented track and field athlete, as she proved again with a victory in the pole vault at the Hawk Classic.

Tinley Park High School junior Megan Klee seems to be everywhere on the track.

When she’s not running the 300 low hurdles or marking off steps for her high jump, Klee can be found practicing her favorite event, the pole vault.

“Megan is an all-around athlete.  She is a pleasure to have on the team,” girls track coach Ashaunta McCormick-Catchings said. “She went downstate in pole vault her sophomore year, and now plans to make the All-State podium in her junior campaign.”

Last week, Megan vaulted 10 feet to place first in the Hawk Classic, a 16-team invite held annually at Hillcrest High School. For her efforts, Klee is the Patch Athlete of the Week.
