Boys Soccer Photo Gallery: Tinley Park Tripped Up By Richards

Bulldogs vs. Bulldogs: Richards rallied from an early 1-0 deficit to defeat Tinley Park in a boys soccer match in Oak Lawn.

Bobby Neylon converted on a kick from about 35 yards away. Mike Swierczewski and Ray Baldovin also scored in Tinley Park's 4-3 boys soccer loss to Richards on Tuesday in Oak Lawn.

But, despite jumping to an early lead, Tinley Park was unable to finish off Richards.

“This is our fourth game, and unfortunately due to some disciplinary issues we had only 12 people out of 20 for the first half," Tinley Park coach Mike Boniface said. "I needed to bench some guys. Needless to say, we were a different team. In the second half, we had our full lineup."

Luis Castro and Miguel Castro each scored two goals for Richards. Salvador Aparicio, Miguel Castro, Alex Lenkiewicz and Colin Page had assists.

“The home-opener was a good win for our guys, the first time we played on our home field," Richards coach Dan Scanlan said. "We played a tough battle. We started off on a bad step, giving up a goal early. The guys delivered giving it right back. They came through. That is what mattered most. We scored three goals in the first half."
