Cops Accuse 2 Newton Kids of Breaking Into Watertown Cars

The boys—16 and 14 years old—face 7 counts of felony nighttime breaking and entering of a vehicle, as well as other charges.

Two Newton teens face felony charges after being accused of breaking into several cars July 31 along Watertown’s South End, according to a Watertown News report.

Police responded to a report at about 12:27 a.m. about two boys—16 and 14 years of age—who were seen walking down Union Street, trying to open car doors as they went, the report stated. At the scene, police found one of the boys inside a vehicle and other one nearby, the report added.

The boys each were charged with seven felony counts of nighttime breaking and entering of a vehicle, two counts of larceny over $250 and a count of attempting to commit a crime, the report stated.
