The silent auction features 11 items to bid on, including a Nintendo Switch Lite and golf foursomes at top-rated local courses. The Crisis Center is also offering several Fund-a-Need giving levels. The Crisis Center’s annual golf outing pays tribute to the Crisis Center’s co-founder, Dianne Masters, who would have celebrated her 74th birthday last month. Masters established a crisis hotline in the kitchen of her home to help victims of domestic violence. Tragically, in 1982, Dianne lost her life at the hands of her husband. But for those closest to her, it strengthened their resolve to continue the mission. Today, the Crisis Center continues to honor Dianne’s legacy by partnering with the community to provide safety, strength and hope to victims of domestic violence and their children. The Crisis Center has impacted the lives of more than 60,000 people since it was founded 41 years ago.

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia’s mission is to provide emergency shelter and other essential services for individuals and families victimized by domestic violence and to address the societal issues that contribute to domestic violence.
