D.A.R.E. Graduation at Trinity

TPPD's Officer Shervino teachers Trinity 5th graders good decision-making skills to help them lead safe and healthy lives.

The students in 5th grade at Trinity Lutheran did D.A.R.E. for the first time in a long time. When asked what's the importance of bringing the program back , 5th grade teacher, Katrina Kloess said, "Not only does D.A.R.E. teach kids about good decision making, this program helps our students develop a good relationship with a police officer."

The Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program is the most comprehensive drug prevention curricula in the world taught in thousands of schools throughout America’s 50 states and its territories, as well as in 50+ other countries reaching more than 1.5 million students annually.

Trinity Lutheran School is very grateful to Tinley Park Police Department's Officer Shervino for running the program here for our students and to Jet's Pizza, located at 17105 88th Ave, Tinley Park, for not only opening early, but donating all the pizza for our D.A.R.E. program graduation celebration.
