A 40-year-old South Holland man was arrested and charged with aggravated battery after trying to force his way into the school, police said.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A South Holland man faces battery charges after shoving school employees at Victor J. Andrew High School in Tinley Park when they wouldn't allow him into the school to confront students, police said.
Jason J. Reeves, 40, of South Holland, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a school official and one count of disorderly conduct after an incident Aug. 26 at Andrew High School, 9001 W. 171st Street, Tinley Park, police said Friday.
Police said Reeves entered the school at about 7:45 a.m. via the main south entrance, where he was met by an Andrew High School employee. Reeves told her that his daughter was being harassed by other students and that he was there to confront them about their behavior.

Reeves shoved the employee several times during the conversation and refused to listen to her when she said he wasn't allowed to enter the school and confront students, police said.
A second employee then approached Reeves and tried to talk to him, but Reeves shoved him aside and continued his attempt to get further into the school, according to police. The second employee then tackled Reeves and, with the help of other Andrew staff, was able to detain him until police arrived.
