Deep Dish or Thin Crust?
Deep Dish or Thin Crust is played up to be a Chicago vs New York thing. It's not..

Real Chicagoans, especially south-siders, know that Chicago makes incredible thin-crust pizzas. While growing up in the Chicago Lawn area, Saturday Night was always our family's pizza night. We'd pick up on our way home from 5 o'clock Mass on Saturday Night, sit down at the kitchen table and eat pizza before watching a movie. It was a weekend ritual. And every south-sider had their favorite neighborhood Pizza Joint. Maybe twice a year we'd have Deep Dish. I know Deep Dish was invented here, but it was never our "Go To" pizza. It was always thin-crust. How it got turned into "Chicago Style" pizza, I don't really understand. Then it turned into New York vs. Chicago. I've always thought Deep Dish was mainly for the tourists, but as I've gotten older, I've come to appreciate it more. There's a little more craft that goes into making a good Deep Dish. It takes a little longer, but if it's done right, the wait is worth it. So treat yourself. Try the Deep Dish. It's not just for the tourists.
