District 146 to Offer Donated Items

Interested community members can shop for free clothes, books, and toys this Saturday.

What: Free Clothing/Book/Toy Shop
When: Saturday, June 1
Time: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Where: District 146 Administration Center, 6611 W. 171st Street, Tinley Park.

Throughout the month of April, District 146 schools collected gently used toys, books, and clothes in a drive sponsored by school psychologists. The collected items are now set to be offered to interested community members.

On Saturday, June 1, items will be available at the District 146 Administration Center from 10 a.m until 2 p.m. The Administration Center is located at 6611 W. 171st Street, next to Fulton School.

During the "D146 Gives Back" event, families will be able to look through and pick out donated/gently used items to take home free of charge. There will also be activities for children and parents to enjoy together.

All items left after the free shopping day will be donated to local nonprofit organizations for distribution. For more information, contact 708.614.4500.

Community Consolidated School District 146 is comprised of Central Middle School, Fierke Education Center, Fulton School, Kruse Education Center, and Memorial School. Students from Tinley Park, Orland Park, and Oak Forest attend District 146 schools.
