“I want to leave a good impression for the girls, (especially) the ones coming up,” she said.

Nunn plans to play basketball at Concordia, while studying pre-med. She said she has learned lessons from Tinley Park basketball that she will take to college.

“Teamwork and just how important it is to work hard,” she said. “That’s just the most important thing—to work hard no matter hard.”

What’s Next for Tinley Park: The Lady Titans take on Rich South (20-5) Tuesday night. Tinley will have its hands full with Rich South, which won the Southland Athletic Conference, but Lady Titans coach Jason Becker said his team is ready for the challenge.

“We’re prepared … I think. If Mariah (Blackman) and Diamond (Beatty) come to play, I think it’s going to be a good day for us,” Becker said.

Becker said he and his staff have watched a lot of Rich South film, so they are familiar with the team. The Lady Titans will need to be prepared to handle Rich South’s pressure defense.

“We’re going to try to control their speed,” Becker said. “We’ve been working on breaking the press.”
