TINLEY PARK, IL — Classmates, friends, and family Zaineddin "Zain" Jaber will gather Tuesday evening in honor of the teen who died Friday night after being struck by a car while riding his bike.
Those who knew Zain will meet at 6 p.m., at Walgreens in Tinley Park, 7960 W. 159th St., near where the 14-year-old was hit, according to a social media post. Attendees are encouraged to wear black and bring flowers, cards, and photos in memory of the teen.
Kirby District 140 issued a letter to families Monday, confirming the teen's passing and recognizing his time in the district. A former classmate said Jaber "made everyone laugh, and had the biggest smile. Would slap '5' down the hallway!"
