Four Frankfort Men Jailed After Alleged Tinley Park Road Rage Attack
The men denied attacking a driver but video showed otherwise, police said.

Four Frankfort men were jailed for allegedly attacking a driver and his girlfriend on 191st Street in Tinley Park.
Ahmad Elabed, 46, Hakm Elabed, 23, Jehad Elabed, 18, and Nedal Elabed, 25, who all live at 20205 S. Fairwood Court, were charged with felony mob action in connection with the alleged Sunday afternoon incident.
The four men, along with a 16-year-old, were in a Chevy Tahoe that pursued a 21-year-old man and his girlfriend into Tinley Park, police said. The Elabeds and the other driver then reportedly headed over to the Tinley Park Police Department to accuse each other of wrongdoing.

The Elabeds claimed they were actually “threatened and followed by (by the other driver) and his girlfriend,” police said, and while at the station “Nedal yelled at the (the man) and gave him ‘the finger.’ Nedal then blurted out, ‘I’ll kick his ass again.’”
On top of that, all of the Elabeds “advised they never exited the Tahoe or damaged the (other) vehicle in any way,” police said.

But then the 21-year-old’s girlfriend showed officers a cell phone video of the four men emerging from their Tahoe, police said. The 16-year-old remained in the SUV.
In the video, according to a police report, Ahmad Elabad blocked traffic while Hakm Elabad rushed at the other SUV with a pipe, apparently striking and damaging it.
An officer then placed the Elabeds, who were still unaware of the video, under arrest, the report said. When he did, “they became irate, advising that (the officer) needed to tell them their Miranda rights before they were handcuffed and that they were going to sue all the police.”
The Elabeds ”continued to yell and scream at (the officers) while in lockup,” police said, and they “refused to give statements and would only try to argue with the (officers). Hakm kept yelling that he was hit by the victim’s car and they tried to run him over. (An officer) then reminded them that they previously stated none of them exited the car and also stated that (the officer) reviewed video showing Hakm with a pipe outside of the car. At that point Hakm said nothing else.”
In addition to mob action, Hakm Elabed was charged with criminal damage to property. He and the other three were taken to the Will County jail. All of the men $25,000 bond apiece for their release two days later.
