Gimme 5: Andrew Coach Stoub Serves Up Experience
T-Bolts girls volleyball coach Courtney Stoub enjoys passing down the knowledge she learned from playing collegiate volleyball.
Growing up with a mother who taught physical education, Andrew girls volleyball coach Courtney Stoub always has enjoyed hanging around the gym. This summer's preseason volleyball camp has been no different for the third-year teacher.
Stoub, who grew up in Michigan, parlayed her gym time into an athletic scholarship. She earned her degree while playing volleyball for Eastern Michigan University.
Stoub coached on the junior varsity level for a few years in Michigan before making the move to Tinley Park's Andrew High School.

"I got really lucky," she said. "This is such a great school to be at and coach volleyball."
After a successful season last year, Stoub is excited about the upcoming year and the work ethic shown by her girls during preseason activities.

"This is a solid group of girls coming in," Stoub said. "They've worked very hard. The girls have come in and put forth a lot of effort, which can be hard to instill if they don't have that in them already. We have a lot of options this season."
