Gimme 5: Tinley Park's Griffin Catches the Bug at an Early Age
Titans senior catcher Owen Griffin will continue his baseball career at Robert Morris University.
Finding a hobby or sport to enjoy can be a gradual, trial-and-error process for many people, but that was not the case for Tinley Park senior Owen Griffin. He seemed to find baseball right away.
"My dad got me into T-ball when I 5 years old," Griffin said. "I fell in love with the game and it took off from there."
The Titans' varsity catcher claims his leadership is his best attribute for the Tinley Park baseball team. Even if he is mired in an occasional batting slump or having a bit of trouble behind the plate, Griffin brings a positive guidance to the Titans.
He hasn't tumbled much. Next year, he will play baseball for Robert Morris University.
