Gimme 5: Tinley Park's Hermann 'Titans' Up Defense

So what if she doesn't know how to slide tackle, she does it anyway.

Tinley Park's Chrissie Hermann, a four-year varsity starter and three-time all-conference selection, knows how to contribute to the Titans' girls soccer team. Hermann's defensive efforts have helped Tinley Park limit opponents to 17 goals on the season, including seven games in which the Titans shut out their opponents.

"She is the single reason that we have only given up four goals in conference play over our first eight games," Tinley Park coach Paul Dorney said.

Hermann said she enjoys playing for Dorney and cites his fun-loving attitude and ability to make the team laugh as two reasons for the Titans' success.
