Girl Scouts, Pizza and the Season of Giving
St. Coletta's of Illinois Foundation Partners with Local Girl Scouts this Holiday Season
Tinley Park, IL – December brings colder weather and usually some snow. It is also a time for giving and spreading Christmas cheer.
St. Coletta’s of Illinois Foundation has a long-standing relationship with the local Girl Scouts in the South Suburbs and each year they adopt several group homes and collect “wish list” items for St. Coletta’s participants. Each present is wrapped with care and put into wonderfully decorated baskets. Fun treats, snacks and movies are also included for cold winter nights.
As a thank you, St. Coletta’s of Illinois Foundation hosts a holiday pizza party for the Scouts and participants.

“This is such a fun time of year and the Girls Scouts really look forward to it.” Deanna Wetzel, group home manager at St. Coletta’s adds with a smile, “They do such an amazing job wrapping the gifts and adding personal touches with hand-made cards and notes. It’s adorable.”
This year’s party saw an increase in troop participation, making it the biggest party to-date with over 200 Girl Scouts, troop leaders and St. Coletta’s participants in attendance.
