Operation TALK presents to the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce
Operation TALK; Veteran; suicide; casino; motorcycle run

Thursday March 30, 2017, co-founder of Operation TALK, Maureen Walsh gave a heartfelt presentation to local businesses about the 3rd Annual Ride by Day, Play by Night event. Walsh shared how Operation TALK has evolved over the last three years and the devastating loss which prompted her and her husband, Tim Walsh to start the non-for-profit.
Operation TALK Mission is to support accredited organizations that raise awareness and help prevent active military and veteran suicide. The committee has agreed to continue to support Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies, a local program for our veterans through the SSSRA and Give an Hour, a national program which offers mental health for active military, veterans, family members and the community free of charge. Both programs have made great strides in helping our brave men and women that have served our country.
Ride by Day, Play by Night will be holding their Motorcycle Run and Casino Night on June 24, 2017. The motorcycle run will be starting at Illinois Harley Davidson in Countryside, IL. Sign up starts at 9:30 am and the pledge of Allegiance , Singing of the National Anthem and Rider Blessing will start at 10:45 am, then at 11 am it is kick stands up to roar away on a 90 mile run. There will be stops in Wilmington, Crest Hill, New Lenox, Orland Hills and the final stop at the Tinley Park VFW where the casino night begins. The VFW will open at 4 pm for those who would like to try their luck at a variety of casino games, tables will start closing down at midnight.
