Reward Offered For Leads In Tinley Park Home Invasion
The Illinois State Crime Commission is offering $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

TINLEY PARK, IL -- There's now a $2,000 reward offered for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the offenders responsible for the home invasion that occurred in Tinley Park over the weekend. The reward will be offered by the Illinois State Crime Commission at the request and recommendation of Tinley Park Mayor Jacob Vandenberg, according to a news release from the village of Tinley Park.
Previous reports indicate three men armed with handguns entered a home in the 8000 block of Pottawatomi Trail just before midnight on Saturday through an open garage door. They demanded all cell phones and electronics from the victims, according to reports.

The men then locked the homeowners, and several guests including multiple juveniles, in the basement as they left in an unknown vehicle.
The reward offered Wednesday includes information that leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone who may have conspired or aided the offenders in the home invasion.

“I commend Mayor Jacob Vandenberg for his proactive stance in protecting his community,” said Jerry Elsner, executive director of the Illinois State Crime Commission.
