Saint Xavier Football Taps Tinley Pipeline
Four Tinley Park football players are on a Saint Xavier University squad. The Cougars recently were ranked second in the country in a NAIA preseason poll.

Winning breeds winning. Success breeds high expectations.
At Saint Xavier University, the high expectations go right along with the football team's recent success. And four Tinley Park residents look to be a part of the continuing fun.
Following back-to-back 13-1 seasons, the Cougars have been rated No. 2 in the NAIA Football Coaches Preseason Top 25 Poll. Their roster includes two recent recruits, Nick DeBenedetti (Andrew) and Jackson King (Providence).

Two other Tinley Park residents also play for Saint Xavier, senior A.J. Nichols (Mount Carmel) and junior Mike Bushnell (Andrew).
The Cougars open their season on Saturday, Sept. 3, at home against Olivet Nazarene University. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago.

Hot Start for Tinley Park Boys Golf
The Tinley Park boys golf team beat Eisenhower 165-174 at The Meadows Golf Club of Blue Island. Senior Dave Beam posted the best score of the day, a 1-over 36, to lead the Titans.
Andrew Girls Golf Triumphs
The Andrew girls golf squad narrowly defeated Lockport, 158-160, at Silver Lake Country Club’s Rolling Hills Course.

After 18 years as an assistant, Andrew football coach Jim leading the T-Bolts' varsity squad.
Girls Volleyball
Both the Andrew and Tinley Park girls volleyball programs look to get back into the swing of competition this week.
Andrew starts its season Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the Wheaton North Invitational. Tinley Park opens at Homewood-Flossmoor on Tuesday, Aug. 23.
