Tuesday, April 24, 2018 - Fulton students and staff had the opportunity to vote as a class on what kind of trees they wanted to see planted in front of the school in honor of Arbor Day. The school lost two trees last year due to the emerald ash borer, which is responsible for the destruction of tens of millions of ash trees in 30 states. Local landscaping company, Beary Landscaping, has donated two trees to replace those that were lost. “Beary Landscaping has been replacing all the parkway trees for the Village of Tinley Park and wanted to do something to give back to the community,” said owner Brian Beary.
Thursday, April 26, 2018 - The Big Reveal! The students will learn which trees won a place out in front of their school. A crew from Beary Landscaping will begin planting the trees as the students arrive to school on Thursday morning. Students will then come out to watch the trees being planted and enjoy a small Arbor Day celebration.
