Three Tinley Park Student Athletes Get Academic Nod from Big Ten
We're tippin' our hats to Keri Eberhardt, Jenna Aleo and Candace Carson for winning Distinguished Scholar Awards.
We may look back at college as a time of ease, merriment and with little—if any—burdens.
But at the time, we were occasionally frothing at the mouth while trying to ignore eye twitches, as we frantically tried to stay afloat in a sea of massive textbooks, bizarre lab work and excessive papers. Yes you did, don’t lie.
If school was really a breeze, there’d be a few more Ph. D students out there, no?

The Big Ten Conference announced last week that 534 student-athletes also made the grade, maintaining at least a 3.7 grade point average or higher to receive the Big Ten Distinguished Scholar Award.
Among them are three Tinley Parkers—swimmer Keri Eberhardt, soccer player Jenna Aleo and track and field star, Candace Carson. All of the women are in their senior year.

Eberhardt is majoring in biology, Aleo's focusing on recreation and Carson is pursuing advertising and public relations.
