Tinley Park Comfort Inn Robbed Twice in 2 Weeks: Police

The Tinley Park Comfort Inn & Suites was robbed twice in two weeks, police said.

The motel was hit Saturday and also in the week before, according to a police report.

The report provided no other information on the robberies. Instead, it told of an officer “investigating the area” near the motel and pulling over two 18-year-olds riding in a car.

The officer was on the look out “after an armed robbery had just occurred at the Comfort Inn and Suites” shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, the report said.

“The Comfort Inn and Suites was also robbed a week prior,” the report said.

The officer end up charging one of the teens with possessing a pot pipe. He charged the other teen with possessing both a pot pipe and pot.

Patch requested additional information on the two reported robberies at the 18400 Spring Creek Drive motel. The Tinley Park Police failed to respond.
