The man was shoveling dirt into his neighbor's yard, police said.
A Tinley Park man was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly shoveling dirt into his neighbor’s yard.
An officer was sent to the Gaynelle Road home of 51-year Nicholas Cislo to look into a report that he was “digging next to his fence and throwing the dirt onto the complainant’s property,” police said.
Cislo reportedly told the officer that his neighbor “had a retaining wall fixed approximately one week ago and the contractor put the dirt that was moved next to Nick’s fence causing it to bow.”

“Nick advised that he was just moving the dirt to prevent any damage to the fence,” police said. “When asked why he was throwing the dirt into his neighbor’s yard he told (an officer) because it’s not his dirt.”
An officer revealed in a police report that had been “at Nick’s house before for two incidents involving him playing loud music and then later honking the horn on his vehicle and yelling after I left the first time.”

Cislo’s 66-year-old neighbor, “Elaine Koznarski, believes that this is retaliation for the previous night,” police said.
Cislo reportedly told police “he does not get along with his neighbors … and that they have had ongoing problems. Elaine advised the same thing stating that this has been an ongoing issue for the last 12 years.”
