An officer sent to investigate a report of two men slumped over in a white Mercedes on 183rd Street near 80th Avenue found Turco and a 29-year-old man asleep, police said.

The officer reportedly ordered Turco to stop the car and put it in park.
“Antonio appeared confused while attempting to place the vehicle into park,” police said. “His first attempt was unsuccessful because he handed (the officer) his cell phone, his second attempt was unsuccessful because he placed the car into reverse. Antonio successfully placed the car into park on the third attempt.”
Turco claimed to be coming from his home in Chicago, police said, but when an officer asked why there was a Tinley Park address on his driver’s license, Turco changed his story and said he was coming from his mother’s home in Chicago. He also said he was on his way from Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, IN.
Turco’s speech was slurred, police said, he smelled of alcohol and he failed field sobriety tests. He was arrested and handcuffed.
As an officer was “placing Antonio in the back of the squad car, Antonio told (the officer) that he will give him free Jersey Mike’s sandwiches in exchange for (the officer agreeing) not to arrest him,” police said. The cop “advised that bribing a police officer is a criminal offense, to which Antonio laughed and advised he was only kidding.
The officer “reported said bribe” to a sergeant, police said.
The cops released Turco’s passenger into the custody of his mother.
Turco later told the cops he started his night about 7 p.m. at the Horseshoe Casino where he “watched ‘the fights’ and consumed approximately five Miller Lite beers,” police said.
