Tinley Park Resident Takes on New Role at Advocate South Suburban Hospital

Angela Wallace will oversee the Medical Staff Office at the Hazel Crest hospital.

Angela Wallace, of Tinley Park, was recently promoted to Supervisor of the Medical Staff Office at Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest. She took on her new role on January 12.

As Supervisor, Wallace will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the credentialing and privileging processes of more than 700 physicians and allied health professionals employed by the hospital. She will ensure that medical staff are aligned with all regulatory standards and requirements, as well as partner with the Department of Physician Relations to enhance collaboration between the medical staff and administration.

Wallace began her career with Advocate Health Care in 2013 as the Credential Coordinator in the Center for Practitioner Information. Prior to joining Advocate, she was the Administrative Manager for Joliet Oncology-Hematolgy Associates, where she supervised the administrative operations for a six office clinic.

Wallace is a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist. She earned her Bachelors of Business and Applied Sciences degree from Governors State University in Universty Park, Ill., and is pursuing her Masters of Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis, Joliet, Ill.
