Two Tinley Girls Place in State Track Meet
Angelica Lafemina and Megan Klee turn in performances that give Titans reason to believe future is bright.

The future is bright for the Tinley Park girls track and field team.
The Titans had two girls stand up on the awards podium at the IHSA state meet and both will returning next year and hope to improve on their performances.
Sophomore Angelica Lafemina finished sixth in the Class 2A state meet in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.49. Junior Megan Klee placed ninth in the pole vault with her mark of 10-9.

T-Bolts Serve Up
The Andrew boy tennis team finished third in the Homewood Flossmoor sectional, narrowly falling behind Marian Catholic and H-F in a tight team chase. Four Thunderbolts advanced to the IHSA state tournament. Sophomores Kevin Karczynski and Brian Moy represented Andrew in singles play, along with the senior doubles duo of Orlando Lopez and Greg Faloona.
First Time For Everything
For the first time in school history, the Tinley Park girls soccer team advanced to the sectional finals after beating Illiani Christian 2-1 on Thursday. The Titans will meet Lemont in the sectional finals at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Lincoln-Way West.

Titans Race to State
In a tough sectional featuring two-time defending Class 2A state champion Hillcrest, Tinley Park held its own. The Titans' boys track and field team managed to qualify two runners and a relay team for the state meet this weekend.
Senior Matt Jemilo finished second in the 800 meters with a time of 1:56, and junior Mike McCullough placed third in the 300 hurdles with a time of 39.20. The Titans also advanced their 4x400 relay team, which finished second in sectionals with a time of 3:22.
T-Bolt Volleyball
The Andrew boys volleyball team advanced to the regional finals with a win over Oak Forest . But the T-Bolts' win streak was snapped on Wednesday in the regional final against volleyball powerhouse Sandburg.
