Woodman’s Food Market Buys Land At 191st And Harlem
A "middle-to-high-end" grocery store paid $4.6 million for land sold by Lincoln-Way High School District 210.

TINLEY PARK, IL - The path for Woodman’s Food Market to open a location in Tinley Park has been paved after the sale by Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 was made final by the board of education this week.
The board unanimously voted to sell the 71.9 acres at 191st and Harlem - an area originally planned for the now defunct Lincoln-Way North High School - for $4.6 million, according to a report from The Herald-News.
The company originally bid $4.5 million for the property. It was one of four land sale bids the district accepted in February.

Joe Kirkeeng, president of the LW210 board, described Woodman’s as a middle-to-high-end grocery store. The company is based out of Janesville, Wisconsin and has 13 locations in Wisconsin and Illinois.

“It absolutely fits the market,” Kirkeeng said.
