Your 2020 Tinley Park Irish Parade Survival Guide
Street closures, parking restrictions, an interactive map link and more before the 2020 Tinley Park Irish Parade on Sunday, March 8.

TINLEY PARK, IL — The 2020 Tinley Park Irish Parade is upon us, with a step off set for 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 8. Floats, marching bands, community groups, local schools and businesses will all have entries in the parade.
Here's everything you'll need to know as you prepare for the day.
Parking
Limited parking will be available at the Service King Collision Repair Center parking lot at 18040 S. Oak Park Ave. It is recommended that as many parade attendees as possible carpool.

Street Closures
Oak Park Avenue will be closed between 179th Street and 172nd Street for the parade. Expect significant traffic backups on side streets near Oak Park in downtown Tinley Park.
Line-Up
Parade entries will lineup at Central Middle School, 18146 Oak Park Ave. between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Entries arriving late will have to enter from the south via 183rd Street.

Grand Marshal
ABC-7 culinary reporter Steve Dolinsky, known as the "Hungry Hound" will be the parade grand marshal. It's the first time he will have ever served as the grand marshal of a parade.
New To The Parade
For the first time, the Tinley Park Rocks Kindness group will have an entry in the parade. Miss Illinois-preteen 2019 Brooklyn Knedlik will lead the group.
Parade Lineup
An official parade lineup or list of entries has not been released. There will be about 80 floats, according to the village of Tinley Park.
Reviewing Stand / Parade Announcer
The reviewing stand and parade announcer will be in front of the Primal Cut Steakhouse on the west side of Oak Park Avenue just north of the tracks.
Entertainment
Immediately following the parade, attendees can stop by Zabrocki Plaza, 17375 S. Oak Park Ave., for a performance by the Medinah Highlanders Pipe and Drum Band, a photo op with the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile and sponsor booths from Lisa Thomas Salon, Ken Anderson State Farm Insurance, Window Works and Vrdolyak Law Group.

Rules
No open alcohol will be allowed along the parade route. Other rules are detailed here by the village.
