WHAT: As the Official Spray Paint of Summer, Rust-Oleum Corporation is hosting its second annual yard sale open to the public. The event encourages people to #SprayNewLife into secondhand scores and will feature many transformed furniture pieces. This mix of new and renewed items have been reimagined with variety of the company’s well-known products, including Low Odor Premium Spray Paint, Stops Rust with Custom Spray 5-in-1, Universal Premium Spray Paint and Varathane wood stain in various and inspiring different sheens and shades. The community is welcome to peruse the sale and purchase items that will be on display, including tables, chairs, dressers, and cabinets. Shoppers can also find wall art and decorations. DIY experts will also be on hand to answer attendees’ questions on products and inspiration, as well as demonstrate simple tips for turning secondhand finds into statement pieces.

WHEN: Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Cash only event). Small DIY Projects demo from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
WHY: The opportunities are endless when it comes to spray paint. Now, Rust-Oleum will “spray it forward” by donating all proceeds from this one-day event to the Lake County Veterans and Family Services with a match from Rust-Oleum Cares up to $5,000. All items not sold will be donated to charities that provide home furnishings for those in need.
HOW: Press are welcome to visit the headquarters for any interviews and access to the yard sale. The community is welcome to come shop at one of the best yard sales in the northern suburbs!
