CLC to be Rebid Southlake Campus Parking Lot Project After Contractor Indictment
The owner of North Suburban Asphalt was indicted by Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan for fraud last fall.

The College of Lake County plans to seek new bids for a paving project at its Southlake Campus in Vernon Hills after learning the company that was awarded the contract last fall is under indictment for fraud, reported the Vernon Hills Review.
A project to sealcoat parking lots at the Southlake Campus was schedule to begin at the end of May but was delayed when the Lake County News-Sun uncovered information that top bidder Alan Harris, president of North Suburban Asphalt, was alleged to have defrauded some north suburban towns of more than $400,000.
In May, North Suburban Asphalt withdrew its bid for a project at Northwest Suburban High School District 214 in light of the negative publicity, reported the Daily Herald.
