A Day in the Life
South Side Edition- Volume 2 Written By: Spandan (7th Grade); Program Facilitator: Ryan Manning

This is the "A Day in a Life: South Side Edition - Volume 2”!!! This post will also explain the day in the life of a proud Hawthorn Middle School South 7th grader! I am Spandan, and my day starts with Art, where we do four different stations throughout the whole rotation, where we are doing pottery. We are making a relief with engravings and relief sticking out from a background.
In ALA, we did a really deep discussion on various ways that people deal with loss, which we understood, and we learned about how people's perspectives change after loss. A few hours later, in gym, we play a fun game called scatterball, with a twist. Next, we have lunch. After that, it is on to Algebra, where our teacher Ms. Gordon, nicely teaches an important lesson in math: slope. After a 50 minute period, we walk a few meters to Science, where we take notes on a very important lesson in weather. Then, the dismissal bell rings, and everyone runs out, and music is being played. It is so loud, you can barely hear the person next to you.
Soon, I get home, and I jump on the sofa and get ready to enjoy my weekend. After all, I have another hectic week of work in 48 hours!
