District 73 Proposes to Move Students to Closed Mundelein School
Early childhood and pre-kindergarten students in Hawthorn School District 73 may be relocated to Lincoln School in Mundelein, which closed after the 2010-11 school year, reported the Daily Herald.
In need of more space, Hawthorn School District 73 wants to move its early childhood and pre-kindergarten program four miles away to the now-closed Lincoln School in Mundelein's District 75, reported the Daily Herald.
The proposal has already been approved by the District 73 School Board and is up for a vote in District 75 on Monday, according to the Herald. If approved, District 73 would lease Lincoln's northeast addition beginning in the fall for $160,000 per year.
