Hawthorn Principals Read at Library
Five Hawthorn principals will read stories to children at Aspen Drive Library in Vernon Hills.
Hawthorn School District 73 principals will celebrate their love for reading by sharing favorite stories with children during Cook Memorial Public Library reading events. The events will take place at the Aspen Drive Library, 701 Aspen Drive in Vernon Hills. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. The readings will begin at 6:45 p.m. Here is the schedule:
- Tuesday, Sept. 26: Dr. Victoria Kieffer, Hawthorn Townline Elementary
- Wednesday, Sept. 27: Dr. James Tohme, Hawthorn School of Dual Language
- Tuesday, Oct. 3: Kathryn Waggoner, Hawthorn Elementary North
- Monday, Oct. 16: Dr. Jill Martin, Hawthorn Elementary South
- Wednesday, Nov. 8: Bill Fredricksen, Hawthorn Aspen Elementary
The event is free. The public is welcome to attend.
