Learning Resources to Host Alex's Lemonade Stand to Fight Kids' Cancer for Alex's Lemonade Days

In an effort to join the battle against childhood cancer, Learning Resources will host its fourth annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand for Alex’s Lemonade Days on Thursday, June 9th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The stand will be located in the south parking lot of the company’s headquarters, at 380 N. Fairway Drive, Vernon Hills, IL 60061.

Learning Resources’ team members will be selling refreshing lemonade with all donations going to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). Founded in 2004 by cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004); when, at age 4, Alex announced she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Alex’s Lemonade Days is a three-day national event that grew out of Alex's front yard lemonade stand. During Alex’s Lemonade Days, dedicated volunteers host thousands of Alex's Lemonade Stands across the country, raising over $1 million for childhood cancer research. June 2016 will mark the 13th Annual Lemonade Days, and will continue Alex’s mission to raise money one cup of lemonade at a time, renewing her idea that any contributor, at any age, can make a difference.
