Mariano's Employee Arrested After Threatening Supervisor: Cops

He's also accused of punching a police officer.

A drunken and belligerent Mariano’s employee who threatened kill his supervisor also punched a Vernon Hills police officer as he was being led out of the grocery store, according to police.

Steven B. Rollo, 46, of the 400 block of Cherry Valley Road, Vernon Hills, was arrested on Feb. 20. He faces charges of battery, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct and is due in court on March 16.

Police were summoned the Mariano’s in the 1700 block of North Milwaukee Avenue at about 2 p.m., and they attempted to walk Rollo out of the sales area of the store when he punched one cop in the chest, according to police. As they left the store, Rollo resisted, then fell and cut his head on the sidewalk, police said.
