On Oct. 26th at Five Seasons Northbrook: “Your Financial Health Leads to Your Success"

With passion that comes from personal and professional experience, financial coach Julie Tomek Campo leads free one-hour workshop

A financial coach is coming to Five Seasons Family Sports Club in Northbrook on Thursday, October 26th to help guide individuals seeking to understand and stay on top of their finances.

Julie Tomek Campo, whose passion for financial literacy stems from personal and professional experience, leads “Your Financial Health Leads to Your Success,” starting at 5:30 p.m. at the club, 1300 Techny Road.

Among other topics, Campo will teach how to categorize, analyze, and change habits to strengthen finances and enable the achievement of goals and dreams. The one-hour workshop will also provide all attendees the opportunity to download a personal financial app to help organize their money.

The session is relevant for everyone, including married couples, mothers, busy professionals and singles, said Campo.

“Good financial habits help lead to a better family life, career, and overall happiness,” said Campo. “Personal consumer debt continues to rise—it’s in the trillions of dollars nationally. But it can be avoided if you know where you are spending your money each month and how to live within a budget.”

Campo has an extensive accounting background that includes time working for Arthur Andersen as well as Ernst and Young. After starting a family, she obtained a teaching certificate and Masters in Education, then spent 10 years in the public schools helping at-risk students develop their personal finance awareness and skills.

Her insights and zeal for the topic flow from personal experience: as a single mother of two young children, she managed to live on a relatively small income by implementing the steps that she teaches.

A Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, Campo operates her own business, Julie’s Personal Money Management. It is based in Darien and is online at https://juliemoneymanager.com/
