Open Days Program Garden Tour - North Shore
July 17: Self-guided tours of private gardens, open to benefit the Garden Conservancy.
On July 17, explore three private gardens in Lake Forest, Mettawa, and Winnetka, open to the public for self-guided tours to benefit the Garden Conservancy. No reservations required; rain or shine. Featuring flower-filled window boxes, a ravine garden, a boxwood knot garden, native meadow restorations, a butterfly garden, and a walled English-style garden. Begin at Mettawa Manor, 25779 St. Mary's Road, Mettawa, or see website for additional locations; 10 a.m. (ending times vary). Admission is $7 per garden; children 12 & under free.
