Hawthorn School of Dual Language children sorted and folded pajamas that they donated to a children’s advocacy organization. The school’s student council raised more than $430 for Project Change. Council sponsor Susan Glickson purchased books and pajamas that will be distributed to children through Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lake County.

“I felt good that I was able to raise this much money for people who don’t have what I have. I like sharing books that I enjoy with other kids,” said fifth grader Mitchell Leshchiner, of the Vernon Hills school.
