Register for Girl Scouts at Upcoming Open House

Girls and adults are invited to join the fun and learn more about Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana on Monday, September 21, 2015 at an open house from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Girl Scouts Vernon Hills Gathering Place (650 Lakeview Parkway).

“Girl Scouts is an amazing experience that both girls and adults will not forget,” said Carmen Evans, recruitment manager for Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana. “Girl Scouts provides girls with opportunities that successfully prepare them for life, as well as leadership skills and lifelong friendships that are truly priceless.”

During the open house, adults can talk to recruitment team members about starting or joining a troop as a volunteer, while girls can experience some of what Girl Scouts has to offer firsthand through fun and educational activities, including learning about STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and participating in a craft.

Additionally, attendees can gather information about upcoming council-sponsored programs, such as camping, travel opportunities and field trips to local museums.
