Rosters Announced for Hawthorn Wrestling; Boys, Girls Volleyball

Hawthorn Middle North Fields Large Wrestling Team

Hawthorn Middle North is looking forward to an exciting wrestling season, with 40 kids taking part in the program. Coach Tony Carlsen notes that the team is very young, boasting a solid group of 5th-graders, including several girls. While many students are experience the sport of wrestling for the first time, the grapplers are looking to four experienced athletes for their leadership – Jake Schroetter, state qualifier Jesse Goldufsky, two-time state qualifier Bryce Lucich, and Dylan Geick.

The following Hawthorn Middle North students are on the wrestling roster from 8th grade: Marcos Ambriz, Mike Carver, Dylan Geick, Adam Hamer, Matt Kieft, Bryce Lucich, Luke Petersen, Tarren Rosado, Matt Rudoff, Stefan Savin, Jake Schroetter and Luis Trinidad. 7th-graders include Brian Bello, Jesse Goldufsky, Scott Harris, Danny Lester and Scott Maske. 6th-graders are Adrian Ayala, Joel Cirilo, Adam Delgado, Drew Gehrett, Dylan Ransom, Eduard Thorholm and Bryan Vallejo.  5th graders include Lizzy Cirilo, Ricky Diaz, Erik Escobar, Jason Guadarrama, Maria Hernandez, Priscilla Hernandez, Austin Maske, John Morales, Marcos Pedroza, Andrew Ponce and Anthony Ponce.

Middle North Announces Girls Volleyball Rosters

Hawthorn Middle North is pleased to announce the rosters for the girls volleyball program. Student athletes on the 8th grade team include Jamie Adam, Victoria Alper, Erin Blase, Katie Burrows, Athena Clark, Shannon Cark, Danielle Dymova, Jennifer Garcia, Jisel Gomez, Jenna Joyce, Jenna Kelly, Emily Lightman, Emma Pappano and Josselin Rodriguez. Lisa Sturgill is coach. The 6th/7th grade team features Lindsey Brettman, Jordyn Bunning, Frances Ferolo, Claudia Fiorenza, Olivia Fiorenza, Kaitlyn Griffin, Abby Heinz, Brynn Lauman, Grace Lim, Sydney Pan, Drew Petereit and Christina Simley. Jamie Mette is coach.

Hawthorn Middle North's boys volleyball season is now underway. The 8th grade team includes Jake Antenore, Ryan Antenore, Aaron Castellanos, Blake Cedergren, Dylan Cline, Patrick Dunleavy, Luke Edwards, Justin Garlow, Lupe Matias, Jack Peacock, Ian Schwartz and Erick Turski. On the 6th/7th grade team, players include Antonio Brown, Ruben Camargo, Kevin Cronin, Carter Dorow, Matt Edwards, Luke Herr, Ryan Kang, Ethan Lee, Nick Otto, Fred Sides, Logan Sides and Jonathan Wallach. Matt Polnow and Brian Dahm are coaches.
