Sente Invites Residents to Back-To-Session Town Hall Meeting

State Rep. Carol Sente is holding a Back-To-Session Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, January 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Vernon Hills.

Vernon Hills, Ill. – State Representative Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, is holding a Back-To-Session Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, January 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Vernon Hills Park District’s Laschen Center, located at 294 Evergreen Drive in Vernon Hills.

“The 99th General Assembly is scheduled to begin in a few short weeks and I look forward to hitting the ground running, as I work to implement responsible solutions to the many issues affecting the people of Illinois,” Sente said. “This year I plan to continue championing the issues important to our families, like encouraging strategic economic development, building strong schools, reining in skyrocketing property taxes and eliminating wasteful government spending.”

The event will begin with a brief legislative update from Sente on her initiatives from the past year, as well as her goals for the upcoming spring session. Then for the remainder of the event, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts on how to make Illinois a better place to live and work.

“Everyone in our community is a stakeholder when it comes to discussing the future of our state. There is too much at risk for residents not to get involved and have their voices heard,” Sente said. “It is my hope that by remaining accessible, I will be able to make state government more effective for constituents by gathering their feedback on legislative proposals and making sure our community’s voice is heard in Springfield.”
