UPDATE: Police Continue to Search for Suspects in Wauconda Shooting
The shooting victim's girlfriend and children were in the apartment at the time of the shooting but were not hurt, according to media reports.
Police are continuing to investigate a shooting that occurred Sunday night in a Wauconda apartment, according to media reports.Β
Wauconda Police spoke with the shooting victim, a 26-year-old male, and last night spoke with the victim's girlfriend who hid in a bathroom with her three children, ages 7, 10 and 14, when the shooting occurred, according to the Daily Herald.Β
Police said they are looking for three Hispanic males who they say forced their way into the man's studio apartment in the 100 block of Main Street in Wauconda Sunday night, according to the article.
The Daily Herald reports the victim knew or knew ofΒ the Hispanic males and police are continuing to investigate a motive in the shooting.Β
