Vernon Hills Man Wins $1 Million in Illinois Lottery

VERNON HILLS, IL - A Vernon Hills man is $1 million richer after winning big in the Illinois Lottery St. Patrick’s Day Millionaire Raffle.

Christopher Gluck discovered his big win while checking his ticket on the Illinois Lottery website. His plans for the windfall include paying bills and investing, according to a news release.

“I always buy a Raffle ticket because it offers the best odds for winning a million dollars, but I never imagined I would beat those odds and win," Gluck said.

Gluck bought his winning ticket, bearing raffle number 045610, at 7-Eleven, 145 E. Town Line Road in Vernon Hills. 7-Eleven received a bonus of $10,000, one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket, according to a news release.
